Account Executive

Devine + Partners (D+P) is looking for an Account Executive to join our team. This is an important mid-level position at our firm. In this position, you will play an important role on multiple client account teams, working directly with senior public relations professionals and will be an essential part of creating content for clients.

D+P is a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The ideal candidate has three years of public relations experience in an agency setting and is energetic, independent and self-motivated.  On a daily basis you will be expected to put your writing, social media, media relations and client management skills to the test.  Every position at D+P requires excellent time management skills, but a strong candidate for the position should be prepared to balance a full client load while remaining ready to jump in and lend a hand to colleagues wherever it is needed.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Plays an important role in day-to-day client work, including effectively and thoughtfully executing all elements of a client’s communications plan
  • Manages multiple clients
  • Traditional media relations including media outreach and interview coordination
  • Drafts press releases, media advisories, blogs and other written client materials
  • Storyboards and creates short video news packages for clients
  • Develops social media strategy and content
  • Creates recurring client reports and tracks client metrics
  • Researches and assists in drafting new business proposals and presentations
  • Assists in event planning and on-site support

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of public relations experience
  • Proven results in traditional and social media
  • Ability to interact fluidly with senior level professionals and clients
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in content marketing
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite and video editing experience (iMovie, Adobe Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid, or similar) a plus
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, WordPress and Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, multimedia journalism, or related field
