At any given time, there are a handful of motivated college students in the D+P internship program. We recently sat down with Molly Dooling, one of our Monday & Wednesday interns, for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Molly!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
Hi! I’m Molly and I’m from Lansdale, PA. I’m a senior Communications Studies major at the Klein School of Media and Communications at Temple University. At Temple, I’m a sister of Delta Zeta sorority and I’m also a member of InMotion Dance Team. I have two younger siblings, and my all-time favorite food is chips and salsa.
Describe yourself in three words.
Three words to describe myself are determined, easy going and independent.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was a kid, I always wanted to be an astronaut. I thought going into Space was the coolest thing ever! Until I realized I had much more of a writing brain than a science and math brain. Which is why I am now in PR!
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
This is always a hard question! I would have to say that few people know that I was trained in classical ballet my whole life. I started when I was 3 years old and went all the way up to my senior year of high school. The best parts of my childhood were definitely dancing in my dance studio’s production of The Nutcracker every holiday season!
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
If I could give advice to my younger self in high school, it would definitely be to lay off the eyeliner. I looked like a raccoon! But on a more serious note, I would tell myself to branch out sooner rather than later. I waited too long into my senior year to meet new people, and I wish I had started earlier so I would’ve had more time to spend with them!
