At any given time, there are a handful of motivated college students in the D+P internship program. We recently sat down with Paige Kunkel, one of our Monday & Wednesday interns, for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Paige!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
I am a junior PR major at Temple University and I serve as Director of Recruitment for Temple’s Chapter of PRSSA (the Public Relations Student Society of America). I am very passionate about travel and I hope to one day work in a PR setting of some sort in a different country. I completed an eight-week long internship for class credit with Edelman Public Relations in their Barcelona, Spain branch this past summer! When I’m not at class, interning or working part time as a hostess on South St, I love to sing, write and listen to music or just hang out with my friends and dogs.
Describe yourself in three words.
Intelligent, funny and amicable
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I wanted to be a famous pop singer. While I still love to sing, I am much more interested in the PR aspect of music at this point in my life!
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
I’ve lived in three major cities all within the span of a year: New York City, Philadelphia and Barcelona.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
Love and accept yourself for who you are! Everything will be okay.
