At any given time, there are a handful of motivated college students in the D+P internship program. We recently sat down with Freya Christian, our Tuesday & Thursday intern, for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Freya!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
I’m currently a senior at Temple University majoring in Public Relations. I’m part of Temple’s PRSSA Chapter where I serve as Treasurer on the Executive board. During my spare time, I love to read fiction novels, take long walks & ride my bike on the boardwalk (perks of living near the beach!). My favorite novel is Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.
Describe yourself in three words.
Ambitious, easy-going and loyal (I’m a great friend to have, btw).
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I wanted to be a teacher growing up because my mom was a middle-school math teacher. As I grew up, I realized I did not have the patience for math or teaching.
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
Only my close friends know that I can be really funny and sarcastic.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
I would tell myself to stop trying to plan out every single detail about my future. Plans can fall apart in a heartbeat.
