At any given time, there are a handful of motivated college students and recent graduates in the D+P internship program. We recently connected with Alex Richman, one of our summer interns, for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Alex!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
I am from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and I am a 21-year-old-student at Towson University studying mass communication with a focus in advertising and public relations. When I am not working, I love hanging out with my family and friends, watching Philadelphia sports and enjoying nature.
Describe yourself in three words.
If I had to describe myself in three words, they would be outgoing, confident and determined.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I wanted to be a professional basketball player because of my love for that sport.
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
Something that not many people know about me is that I would love to travel the world someday. I have never been outside the country and would love the opportunity to experience the world and see what it has to offer.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
If I could give a piece of advice to my younger self, I would tell myself that no matter the doubt or the fear that you have, push through and break barriers because you are the only one who can reach your maximum potential. No other person in the world will be able to decide your future for you; therefore, put yourself out there and do not be afraid about what other people think of you.
