At any given time, there are a handful of motivated college students and recent graduates in the D+P internship program. We recently connected with Tessa DiSerafino, one of our summer interns, for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Tessa!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and am currently a senior at Syracuse University. I also work at my family’s pizzeria and spend much of my free time outside listening to music. My 16-year-old Boston terrier, Bruno, is usually sitting next to me too!
Describe yourself in three words.
I would describe myself as loyal, easygoing and creative.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I wanted to be a photographer growing up. My mom is a graphic designer and always has a camera nearby, so I think that had a lot to do with it.
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
Something not too many people know about me is that I would love to live in San Francisco someday! I love the East Coast, but I would like to try out the West Coast for a little while.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
My advice would be to not worry about what other people think. The most important thing is how you feel and think about yourself!
