We connected with our latest cohort of D+P interns for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Libby, our Spring Content Creation Intern!
Give us a little bit of background on yourself!
Hey! My name is Libby Slaughter. I am a junior at Temple University majoring in advertising and media studies and production. I have a love for anything creative, especially filmmaking and photography. I am an art director for Temple Advertising Club and creative director for Allotrope Agency, Temple’s student-run advertising agency. I am also a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed community service fraternity.
Describe yourself in three words.
I would describe myself as creative, extroverted and hardworking.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Growing up, I wanted to be an animator for films. I feel grateful to still be passionate about filmmaking, and I animate regularly, so I think my younger self would be proud!
What’s something few people know about you, but you wish they did?
I love to crochet! I picked up this hobby last summer and really enjoy making clothing and gifts for people. I also found that it is a great way for me to be creative outside of school and work.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to say yes to creative projects and work opportunities as much as possible. There is so much to be learned through experience and the people you meet along the way.
