Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
My name is Jenna Anderson! I was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. I recently graduated from Delaware State University with a mass communications major focusing on TV, radio, audio and film. I chose this major to better understand the media landscape and pursue a career within mass media. In 2022, I interned at Sodexo Magic as a student social media marketing manager for my capstone internship. In 2024, I worked remotely as a seasonal public relations intern at R Couri Hay PR, where I conducted media research with Cision and compiled lists of prominent French and Miami-based writers using Excel.
Describe yourself in three words.
Creative, passionate and overachieving.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Growing up, I wanted to become a writer, singer and actress due to my love for performing theatre, Broadway and storytelling. My Inspirations have always been Walt Disney, Tyler Perry and John Hughes.
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
From the time I was born, I have always been a fighter. I was born prematurely and had to undergo open heart surgery that I ended up thankfully surviving.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that no matter how tough life gets, it is only the beginning, and giving up is an option not worth taking.
