At any given time, there are a handful of motivated college students and recent graduates in the D+P internship program. We recently connected with Jesse Taylor for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Jesse!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
Hi! I’m currently a junior public relations major at Temple University with a general business studies minor. At Temple, I’m on the executive board for Temple’s PRSSA chapter and an account executive for the student-run firm, PRowl Public Relations. Since I was younger, I have always been a dancer, so I decided to continue that passion and join InMotion Dance Team when I got to college. In my free time, I love to catch up on Netflix shows, explore the city and spend time with my family and friends!
Describe yourself in three words.
This question has always been difficult for me to answer, but if I have to choose, they would be attentive, loyal and funny.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was younger, I wanted to be a teacher because I thought it would be a fun job!
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
I actually love to travel! Most people don’t know this because I haven’t been to many places, and I haven’t left the country yet. Though every time I even go on a small trip to another state, I love it. I’m hoping to be able to travel more in the coming years!
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
Some advice I would give to my younger self is to not dwell on the past or what people think of you. I sometimes still need this reminder nowadays, but I’ve learned that I can’t move forward in life if I’m constantly thinking about what I should’ve done and how others reacted to it. “Everything will work out!” is what I would tell her.
