We connected with our latest cohort of D+P interns for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Keenan, our spring content creation intern!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
Hello! I’m Keenan, originally from Sterling Virginia, I’m a junior at Temple University studying marketing and digital media technology. I love promoting things through video that I’m passionate about, with a specific interest in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). I’m a huge fan of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and have collaborated with fighters to create promos for their upcoming fights.
Describe yourself in three words.
Creative, optimistic and disciplined.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I always wanted to be an actor or a movie director – something in the creative field that captured attention.
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
I’m deeply fascinated by the process of making movies. I’ve spent a lot of time studying the technical challenges and creative obstacles filmmakers face when bringing a film to life, especially with my favorite movie, “Jaws”.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
Try to meet as many new and different people as possible. Expanding your perspective and connections will help you achieve your goals much faster.
