We recently connected with our latest cohort of D+P interns for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Margo, one of our Fall Public Relation Interns!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
Hi! My name is Margo Haas, and I am a senior at Temple University studying public relations with a minor in human development and community engagement. In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to work as the marketing and outreach intern at Spring Garden Academy. This experience greatly impacted my passion for communications and purpose-driven work. Now, at Temple, I am an assistant firm director for PRowl Public Relations, as well as a member of Alpha Xi Delta.
Describe yourself in three words.
If I were to describe myself in three words, I would say I am compassionate, creative and driven.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Growing up, I always thought I would be a writer or journalist. Despite changing my mind a few times since then, I made my way back to writing when I found PR!
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
When I was younger, I lived in Shanghai, China for a year with my family. This completely changed my view of the world and instilled a sense of excitement in regard to traveling. My experience in China eventually led me to pursue studying abroad this past summer where I was able to find a new place to call home again in Rome, Italy!
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
I would tell myself it’s okay to change along the way. Sometimes, growth and finding new paths can be intimidating, but it is part of what makes the future so exciting.
